Elgin Learning Centreopened in October 2000 and was the first public library in Scotland to achieve Learndirect Scotland status.

Lottery funding for the Peoples Network means high quality full time learning centres are now in Buckie, Forres and Keith Libraries and part-time learning centres in Aberlour, Cullen and Lossiemouth Libraries.
