About UNISON

UNISON was formed in July 1993, from the merger of 3 public service unions, COHSE, NALGO and NUPE, to create a stronger and more influential union, to defend and improve the interests of people working in the public services and essential industries.

We campaign for fair rights for all.

We promote and defend public services.

We support members who experience difficulties at work.

We organise locally to campaign for improvements in the workplace.

Every member of UNISON belongs to a local branch which is made up of people working for the same employer(s). Branch members have access to a local network of branch officers, stewards and health & safety reps.  Please visit the Moray UNISON page.

UNISON represents members in all the areas providing public services for the people of Scotland. Each service group has its own structure to address particular issues affecting that service.
