The famous music hall star
Foreword by Mr Roy Hudd, President of The British Music Hall Society
These pages have been produced by Dr Mike Casselden whose paternal granny, Ada BROUGHTON, was Vesta's first cousin. Click here for details of the BROUGHTON family tree.
A big thanks to everyone who has kindly co-operated in this venture and made material available for inclusion. Without their help, it would have not been possible.
My belief is that information should be made freely available, whilst respecting copyright where appropriate. Hopefully this has been made clear in these pages, although please get in touch if you think I have unduly taken liberties which offend this. I have tried to contact all parties to ensure that neither their ownership rights nor personal details have been compromised in any way.
And, of course, if you have any additional information about Vesta, her career and family, please get in touch. Better still, if you would like any suitable material to be included on these pages I will gladly consider this. Break a leg!
The inclusion of the image of the calling card above is intended to share this incredible historical artefact with you all. Many thanks to the kind benefactor who donated the actual card to me. This is a treasure indeed. More wonderful items will be added in due course..

This site is like the Forth bridge - constantly under maintenance.
For more information you can contact me via email. Just add 'webmaster' to the address below -without the quote marks, of course.
I have done it like this to try and stop the nutters who constantly inundate me with automated virus infected mail:
