Worcestershire Records Office have offically opened their Vesta Tilley archive of stage effects and documents which they were persuaded to acquire when they came on the market some months ago.

Max Tyler, The British Music Hall Historian, gave a talk on music hall at an official event on 20 October at St Paul's Church, Worcester. On display were several wonderful stage costumes, plus The People's Tribute signed by the public when Vesta retired.

That evening, I had the pleasure of meeting another 7 relatives I never knew I had! Hopefully, from this I will obtain a copy of Tilley's will which should resolve several outstanding research problems regarding her siblings and various properties she owned around the country. Eventually a list of her houses will be added to this web site.
