Vesta's father, William Henry POWLES 1835-83

I am grateful to Fred POLLES for this photograph which also appears in Tilley's autobiography. Fred is a grandson of William's younger brother Henry. He has confirmed that William was born in Wales and provided me with a family tree that I hope to publish soon on this page. Gradually, details of Tilley's wider family are coming together, thanks to this web-site. Eventually, it is hoped that all the details will be found allowing a fuller picture of her life and career to be known.
