A copy of all minutes and agendas shall be forwarded to the Branch Secretary.
5.5 The Branch Executive Committee may wish to establish sub-committees where appropriate. These may include:
The make up of such sub-committees shall be determined by the Branch Committee, but shall consist of at least one steward from each of the department committees.

BRANCH MEETINGS
6.1 There shall be an Annual General Meeting of the Branch to elect Branch Officers.
6.2 Other general meetings may be called by the Branch Committee or by 20 members of' the Branch or 5% of the membership, whichever is the greater.
6.3. The Branch, at its AGM shall elect its representatives to the Scottish Region and the National Conference, as well as other related bodies as determined by the Branch.
6.4. Departmental Meetings, open to all members of that department, shall be held as required between Branch meetings. Notification of such meetings shall be issued in writing to all members giving five working days clear notice and indicating items for discussion. Departmental meetings may be called by the Branch Secretary. Departmental Committee or at the request of 5% of the constituent members. Decisions taken by quorate meetings (25% of the total constituent members) shall, 11 competent, serve as a mandate for the Departmental committee.

NOTICE OF MEETINGS
7.1 Initial notice of Meetings and of the Annual General Meeting shall be issued to members not less than 28 days before the date of the Meeting or Annual General Meeting. Notice of the Meeting or Annual General Meeting shall contain the date, time and venue and notification of timescale for the submission of motions and nominations for Branch Officers.
7.2. Formal notice of the Meeting or Annual General Meeting shall be issued to the members not less than 7 days in advance of the Meeting or Annual General Meeting and which shall contain the agenda of business to be transacted, all competent and relevant motions and other related documentation in accordance with the Branch Rules.

BRANCH OFFICERS
8.1 The branch shall elect the following officers annually:

  • Chairperson
  • Vice Chairperson
  • Secretary
  • Treasurer
  • Equality officer(s)
  • Health & Safety Officers (2)
  • Education Officer
  • Communications Officer
  • Welfare Officer
  • APF Officer
  • Service Conditions Officers (1 x APT&C and 1 x Manual & Craft)
  • Membership Services Officer
  • Others as determined as necessary for the effective operation of the Branch
8.2 The principles of proportionality and fair representation as defined in the National Rules shall apply
