well you clicked the link, so I guess this is me when drunk...

...and this is a bit about me generally.

name Anna Machell
nicknames my friend Terry calls me Annarchy Skywalker on account of my leftie political leaning and Star Wars fandom. I was also Wednesday (as in Wednesday Addams) and John Lennon when at school; don't ask!

I support people like Oxfam and their Make Trade Fair campaign, and Amnesty International.
I care about and am interested in the environment, education, art, science, different cultures and understanding history.
Specific opinions and stuff are in things you should know

interests?
I'm a violinist and love all sorts of music - see fandom.
I love to read and hope to be able to earn my keep someday as a poet and novelist. I am absolutely passionate about literature and its role in societies.
I'm a movie nut and thanks to my UGC Unlimited card I see a lot!
I want to travel as much as possible in the future. I've briefly done bits of Italy and France, and Barcelona, Prague and Budapest, and though I'd love to go back, I'm giving priority to New Zealand, Paris, Peru, South Africa, New York and India.

family
My parents are still married and together and they live with my little sis and bro in Liverpool.
I'm immensely proud of the family I'm from so forgive any sappy tones!

My dad is Tony Roberts and he works as a planning officer for a local council, as well as being Union rep for his coworkers there. He has four siblings. He left school at fourteen and had a variety of jobs including working on a cargo ship for a few years.
He got involved with the Socialist Workers Party, Amnesty and the Anti-Nazi League. He represented people in court, worked with young Neo Nazis in order to try and change their ideology, and eventually went to Liverpool University aged 38 where he achieved a Masters degree just after I was born.
He is passionate about education - both in relation to himself and everyone else in the world - and has a huge amount of knowledge regarding world politics, history, philosophies and ideologies. He reads a huge amount, would describe himself as a Marxist, Atheist and Feminist, and is an incredibly funny, gentle person.

My mum is Carol Machell and works as a headteacher at a local primary school. She has five siblings, one of whom is deceased. She was raised Catholic and went to a convent school but gradually worked to replace that default ideology with one of atheism.
She went to Birmingham University aged 18 and achieved a BA in English and Music. She worked in Greece for a couple of years before also getting involved with the SWP, Amnesty and the ANL, as well as working with families of the Chilean 'disappeared' who suffered under Pinochet.
She is also passionate about education, enjoys art, literature and music - she's a pianist - and works incredibly hard. She is a very strong, inspiring person.

My sister is Eleanor Machell, two years younger than me and a Fine Art student. She likes fashion and playing with 'products', likes shows like 'Dead Ringers' and 'Little Britain', and is also a big 'Buffy' fan.
She's very into politics and following both local and world events. She plays violin and like me was a member of the Liverpool Youth Orchestra.
She has a crazy, random sense of humour and keeps us entertained by being viciously satiric about the likes of Bush and Blair.
She wants to be a professional artist.

My brother is Tom Machell, five years younger than me and a GCSE student. He's obsessed with video games, likes movies - especially geeky splatter ones - and is a Jimi Hendrix nut. In fact he loves music in general.
He's just coming into himself regarding finding his own ideology and loves to question things. He also has a wacky sense of humour and love shows like 'Family Guy' and 'Little Britain'.
He plays the trombone and is currently an LYO member. At school he loves history and might want to pursue that at university.
