The Hellfire 600 route is mainly a duplicate of the Brimstone 600. The variations within the permanent are that the event may be started from any of the control points on the route:
Poole - Abbotts Ann - Codford - Beaminster - Exmouth - Taunton - Malmesbury - Nunney Catch
Why the change of name then? Well because it is so much more difficult as a solo ride rather than in the usual rider groupings of calendar events. There is no wheel to follow, no one to buck up your spirits when you are cold and lonely in the darkness of night, drenched to the bone and shivering: alone.
The organiser requires your entry two weeks prior to the nominated date. The fee is £5 and please use a C5 size envelope for the return of your route sheet.
