It has been brought the attention of the
branch that the GMB and T&G is recruiting in schools in the north of our
County. They are saying that UNISON are not doing much on Single Status
and saying that the GMB are able to offer advise and get involved in
discussions on Single Status with employers.
This is not correct this branch has officers
and Stewards spending a lot of time in these important talks. It is also
important to remember that UNISON is the only recognised union for
school support staff.
WHAT IS SINGLE STATUS? WILL IT EFFECT
ME? WHEN WILL IT START? WHAT IS UNISON DOING ABOUT IT?
The
branch is currently organising a series of Road Shows in the High
Schools in the pyramids in Suffolk. The answers to the questions and

members and non-members and for the later it will also be an
opportunity to join and find out about what UNISON can do for
support staff.Dates and times will be sent to schools and will be
available on this website.
