I have no knowledge of this period however the guides went through a major change. The amount of advertising carried by the guides had been decreasing and so in the 1960's the cloth covered board version was dropped. The hard back version, which was also red, was retained however it acquired a colourful dust jacket. During this period until its demise the style of the dust jacket was changed fairly regularly.

The guide that is illustrated is dated 1971 but is priced at 0.75p and therefore must have been bought after 1972.

There is no advertising in the book or list of guides, however, there is a list of holiday guides shown the back of the dust jacket.
