New Regulatory Framework for Nurses and Health Professions

The new Framework will be with us soon, the UKCC is to be replaced; I aim to enlighten you on some of the changes that will be made. The changes will be implemented when The Health and Social Care Bill goes through Parliament, it is now in this process.

Health Professions Regulation

Self Regulatory Bodies must change to include greater patient and public membership; the groups will be smaller and have faster more transparent procedures.

They will have meaningful accountability to the public and the Health Service.
