Our Bengal Interests
We are members of two Bengal Clubs, The Bengal Cat Club, and The Bengal Cat Club of Great Britain.
I joined the committee of The Bengal Cat Club, where
I was Show Support Secretary, Cup Secretary, Vice Chairman, and later - Acting
Chairman and joint Show Manager. I have now retired after six years.
The whole committee are dedicated to the breed, and have worked tirelessly
(along side the other Bengal Clubs) for
the Intermediate status recognition on the Governing Council Of The Cat Fancy show
bench, which has now been granted to the Brown/Black spotted & marbled,
& the Snow spotted Bengal.
There are now enough brown spotted and marbled to take us forward to championship status in the very near future, the figures for the snow spotted are still being collated. Unfortunately the snow marbled will be slower to follow.

The Bengal Cat Club of Great Britain started as The East Anglian Bengal Cat Club, but changed the name when interest in the Bengal increased, and people from all over the country wanted to join.

The Ocicat & Bengal Cat Club, as the name implies, caters for both breeds, although we are not members.

The Story of
Scorpio Kilimanjaro
" Jaro" at 6 Weeks & 6Years Aqua-eyed.Snow.Spotted Bengal.Male.
The week before "Jaro" was born, his mum, "Sula" (Quintillion Ice Diamond) fell from her climbing frame, and as a consequence he was the only survivor of the litter of four kittens.
Mostly hand reared following his mum's accident, and subsequent operations, he still demanded his "milky night bottle" even when he was three months old. This was discontinued however when, one night, he ate the rubber teat in his exuberance.
He had a fantastic temperament, and still remained "Mommy's Big Best Boy", even though he weighed in at around nineteen pounds.
Voted (jointly) 'Cat I would most like to take home' by breeders and judges at the 1996 Bengal Cat Seminar.
"Jaro" was our resident Snow Bengal Stud until his death from a heart attack on 14th. December 2001, aged just six and a half years.
His winning ways and thick pearl dusted, Leopard-like fur, made him popular with both family and visitors alike and he will be missed by us all, more than words can say.
The winner of four merits at four consecutive shows, he sired wonderful glittered kittens both brown and snow spotted. He left his daughter in our care, and we now have outstanding kittens from her and Barijka Etienne.
