Where is it?
On the A386, main Tavistock to Okehampton road, with Dartmoor as its back garden.

When is it?
Every year, on the second weekend in May - see current events page for details.

What does it have to offer?
A Landlord that wants us there. (He’s Irish and had a Ceilidh for the 25^th anniversary of being the pub landlord!).

A Camping and Caravan Club Certificated site with clean loos, hot showers and everything else you could possibly want, including hook ups for caravans if required. Indoor Camping with a bunk house that has 2 x 6 bunk rooms, all you have to do is bring your sleeping bag. Hotel accommodation with Bed and Breakfast in en suite, centrally heated rooms.

Home cooked food, meals available all day including a vegetarian selection, breakfast from 7am - 11am, bar meals and separate restaurant.

Bar open all day for everything from a cup of tea to a barrel of beer!

A separate singing room (it’s the skittle alley really) which is ours for the whole weekend.

By popular request ..The Sunday Lunchtime Exemption Dog Show (All dogs exempt. Owners should bring fancy dress!) Can you fetch? Can you walk nicely? Can you jump over low fences? Are you obedient? Then be at the fire at midday for an experience not to be missed!

How much is it going to cost?

Usually a weekend ticket is £5 plus camping or accomodation of your choice, but if you only want to drop in or can only come for the day….a reasonable donation to the Dartmoor Rescue Team is all we ask  Accommodation is payable direct to the landlord and varies in cost depending on what you want! Hotel rooms, bunk house and hook ups need to be booked directly with the pub as soon as possible as these always go quickly. Book as soon as you can, bookings have already been taken! For all other camping and caravans there is plenty of room but please give the landlord a ring in advance if possible to let him know you’re coming or give Kathy or Jon a ring.
