From your first day as an employee,
Itemised pay slip (showing on first pay day how much you've earned and any deductions)
14 weeks maternity leave (26 from 6/4/03 and after 6 months further 26 weeks unpaid)


Safe working environment


Paid at least the legal minimum wage
(If you've just started work and are undergoing training the weekly minimum may be £3.60 per hour for first six months - If you are over 22 years old, you should receive a minimum of £4.20 per hour.)


Part-time workers have same rights as Full-time


Get paid the same as someone else doing the same job


By two months
Written statment of your Terms of Employment
After 1 year
Protection against Unfair Dismissal
(A Union Official can represent you in a Disciplinary/Grievance Procedure)


After 2 years
Return to work after 40 weeks maternity leave (on 6/4/03 52 weeks after 6 months)
