JAGUAR 265
Standard Specification
Hull
The Jaguar 265 hull is made by the manual lamination process (no spray
laminate) using the latest materials. The laminate construction comprises
polyester resin, glass filament materials and chop strand mat. Coloured
hull and deck layer of high-grade isophthalic acid gelcoat. The deck and
coachroof are in sandwich construction with integral non-slip tread surface.
The hull and deck
are laminated whilst still in the mould to create a homogeneous structure
and are finished with a white PVC rubbing strip. There are two keel options,
either cast iron bilge or lead fin.
Colours
The Jaguar 265 has a white hull, white deck and has a blue and grey decorative
strip.
Cockpit
The cockpit is open at the back end of the foot well to allow for self
draining but is made safe by a swing down boarding ladder that bridges
the gap in the pushpit and it folds down over the sugar scoop stern. The
cockpit coamings are moulded to body contours and the seating is high,
giving good visibility over the coach roof but still deep enough to maintain
a feeling of safety and comfort. The tiller has a ladder extension and
the single lever engine control is easily accessible. There is a single
deep locker with ventilated stowage gas bottle, a 25L fuel tank and plenty
of space for warps, fenders etc.
Coachroof I Deck
Wide sliding GRP hatch with drop in GRP washboards for closing the companionway.
Cabin windows are aluminium frames with toughened glass and there is a
large opening aluminium foredeck hatch. Anchor storage is in a foredeck.wcll.
The side decks are wide with a moulded toe rail and substantial stanchions
and guardrails.

Rudder
Through hull rudder with GRP stock
Rig
N4ast and boom of anodized aluminium with aluminium and stainless steel
fittings, the double spreaders are swept back. The mast has internal hialyards
and the boom has single line slab reefing lines
Standing Rigging
All rigging is 1x19 stainless steel wire with swaged terminals. The stainless
steel rigging screws come complete with toggles.

Interior Layout
The Companionway steps with engine under lead down into the open plan
saloon which has upholstered base cushions and backs with stowage tinder
on both single settee berths and double forward berth. The wooden table
is hung from the mast compression post with a fiddle rail. The compact
galley has a sink with Whale hand pump fed from a 501 water tank. There
is a 2 burner cooker with oven and a cool box and plenty of lockers for
kitchen equipment and an open shelf for crockery. The chart table is /2
admiralty size with stowage under and a swing out stool. The separate
heads has a vanity unit with stowage under and above, the sea toilet has
easily accessible shut off valves. The separate double cabin has a large
berth under the cockpit and a hanging locker. There is space to stand
as you enter the cabin. The bulkheads and panels throughout are ply with
a cherry veneer.
Engine
1GM 10 Yanmar 9hp diesel inboard drives a saildrive with a folding two
bladed propeller. The control panel is located under the step of the companionway.
Electrical
12V/75Ah battery, battery isolator, wiring loom hidden between the mouldings.
The switch panel incorporates MCBs for all the electrical circuits.
