The AGM

On Wednesday 19th Feb we held our AGM - about 30 members were present and about 20 more sent their apologies.  After a wonderful buffet tea and several glasses of wine we got underway.

The formalities were handled quickly and the new branch rules were approved and adopted.  The election of officers and work place representatives ran smoothly, with little change.  We had a sad farewell to say to Norma Davies who retires in March, and due to various reasons lost a few work place representatives, but were pleased to welcome Debbie Poynter, a representative of the wardens.

After we had dealt with the formalities, a healthy debate was held about various issues, including Job Evaluation, Central Offices, Pensions, Outsourcing abroad, and work related pressures.

The meeting closed at about 8pm with the prize draw, the winners were as follows
