	Updated 15 September, 2004 Hastings Borough Council Staff Issues Formal consultations between Hastings Council staff and management are conducted through the Staff and Management Forum where senior management and unions meet face to face. The latest meeting of the Staff & Management Forum is on on 22 September 2004. The agenda can be viewed here. If you wish to raise a matter for consideration at a future meeting or address issues on the agenda please contact [email protected]. Senior councillors and unions meet on a less frequent basis to discuss any issues remaining unresolved from the Staff and Management Forum and for formal consultation on matters such as budget setting. A meeting of the Staff Conditions Working Party was held on 23 March 2004 to negotiate on the Job Evaluation Scheme; consultation procedures; recruitment and retention; and 36-hour week. Although agreement was reached on several issues no overall settlement was achieved.
