MILESTONES  LIVING  HISTORY  MUSEUM

BASINGSTOKE

WEDNESDAY      13  OCTOBER 2004

Take a fascinating trip down Memory Lane by visiting this museum which is laid out as a small town. There are shop displays from Victorian times and the 1930’s, as well as displays of some of Hampshire’s industries.  There is also a collection of domestic items, including a 1940’s kitchen and a large collection of AA memorabilia.  On arrival you will be given an audio-guide and a map to guide you round – a leisurely tour at your own pace, and all indoors.

There is a good restaurant providing snacks and hot meals, or you could take your own packed lunch.

Our journey will be via the A21, M25 and M3 with coffee/comfort stops at Clacket Lane Services.  We should arrive at Milestones by 11.15/11.30am.and leave at 4.15pm.
